BOOST

YOUR CAREER

Fashion schools, leading companies, editors and other significant sectors of the industry will be able to use Bilboost to look for the talent they need.

What is Bilboost?

Bilboost is a social network conceived with the intention of:

1.- Setting up a framework of international participation for young creators, which will facilitate a potential for trends and generate an enormous interest from international companies in this field.

2.- Promoting fashion as an authentic cultural asset in the service of the community, emphasising its close connection with artistic values.

3.- Developing the social aspect of the project, thus helping young designers to compete on equal terms using the new technologies.

All these activities will give confidence, now and in the future, to a sector in which creativity, innovation and renovation are essential for that competitiveness so necessary for the promotion and consolidation of young designers with initiative and talent.

Bilboost´s aim is to achieve a blending of art and fashion, thus building bridges between Bilbao and the rest of the world. We aspire to be a stage for global fashion, in which all the agents: designers, artists, communicators, entrepreneurs, thinkers, have their roles to play. On what condition ? That they believe that Fashion can be Art, because it is culture.

Because it shapes the culture of our world.

If the invention of the railway shortened distances, telecommunications have done away with time; something that is extremely important when we consider that both – space and time – were essential references in the industrial era.

The size of the world has changed from small to minute, the playing field of competition has levelled out and the Earth has become liquid. Suddenly, distance and time, which were on our office desks, are now being measured by the click of a mouse.

The whole world is a click away.

The agent of globalisation is the individual because, now, suddenly, overnight, power is passing from companies to people whose capital is knowledge, and these are the ones who have the power to collaborate and compete.

Many more people are taking part in this now, creating a very wide and diverse participation. The world is losing its texture, its solidity, and is becoming a liquid in which relationships and market transactions are conducted at the speed of light. The question is: How can I, as an individual, be more competitive?

Communication technologies are those which bring about and facilitate a great dynamism in the supply chains and a worldwide interaction between all the inhabitants of the planet.

You make Bilboost possible.
