Design to celebrate 15 years of the Spanish Guggenheim
Five fashion Basque houses celebrate the 15 anniversary of the Guggenheim Bilbao creating shirts with designs inspired by the Museum.
Designers as Ion Fiz, Mercedes de Miguel, Miriam Ocariz, J + G formed by Juana Ruiz and Garbiñe Urdanpilleta and Ailanto, formed by brothers Aitor and Inaki Muñoz are those who have designed the collection of shirts to celebrate this date.
All have found many different inspirations, such as J+G designers have considered the lines of the building by Frank Gehry and the elliptical shapes of the sculptures of Richard Serra.
Ion Fiz, however, wanted to reflect the movement and change that this center of modern and contemporary art has resulted in the small town of Bilbao. Ailanto is fixed in the mantle covering floral "Puppy" dog that welcomes visitors. Miriam Ocáriz has used the force transmitted by the building's titanium skin and glowing balls seen from the river.
Finally, Mercedes de Miguel has taken into account the architectural lines of the building.
How Can I get one of these shirts? In the museum shop for 35 euros or through the website.
